Avoid Divorce – How I Did It

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

Hi, it’s Stephanie.

If you’re anxiously trying to avoid divorce, then I’m really glad you found my website.  I urge you to read my story, how I went about preventing divorce – the ups, the downs, what didn’t work, and finally the only thing that showed me how to successfully stop a divorce.

It felt like my husband and I were fighting every single day.  We eventually stopped talking, and even avoided each another.  He was even seeing someone else.  We talked about divorce.  What was worse, he didn’t seem to care about how to avoid divorce.

I did what I could.  Drew up a “what”s wrong” list and a “to do” one that I acted on as fast as I could.  I even begged him to help me prevent divorce.  I even suggested a trial separation thinking he would miss me.  Nothing worked, not even a counselor.  I was so desperate so I started searching for stopping divorce help online.  And that was how I came across the book “Save My Marriage Today”.

And what an eye-opener!  I honestly thought my efforts would stop divorce — they wouldn’t.  Chapter 4: 7 Mistakes To Avoid (Page 35) showed how rushing to correct things won’t work as feelings are involved.  Also, begging my husband will only stress him more.  Chapter 4, Mistake #6 shows that trial separations only allow a couple to adjust to single life, not a good thing!  And, why seeing a counselor doesn’t always work (Chapter 20:  Getting Help, Page 144).

Thanks to this book, I learned to do the right things.  In Chap 19: Getting Your Spouse To Fall Back In Love With You, I learned how positivity, and touch and words, can get Darren to fall for me again.

Chap 5: Combating Conflict explained the right mindset for disagreements and how to reach conclusions that satisfy us both.

What I didn’t like about the book – it’s long, 154+ pages.  With 11 bonus books such as “Marriages In Crisis” and “6 Reasons For Divorce; How To Stop Them”.  Took me ages.  I was so afraid we would get a divorce in the time it took to read.

Of course, it was important to really read what there was.  I honestly wouldn’t have learned to avoid divorce if it wasn’t for “Save My Marriage Today”.  I truly hope you found this little post useful.
